Großsolt (Danish: Store Solt ) is a municipality in the district of Schleswig -Flensburg, in Schleswig- Holstein.

Geography
The community Großsolt is around ten kilometers south of Flensburg and consists of the villages Großsoltholz (Store Soltskov ) Großsoltwesterholz, Großsoltbrück (Store Soltbro ) Bistoft, Estrup, Kollerup, mill Brück ( Møllebro ) and Großsolt itself
The Bondenau and its tributary, the keel of storage, the town east to west flow through and opening in the Treßsee from which in turn arises from the treene.
Coined the hilly moraine landscape fishing is through the Saale ice age and the Vistula glaciation.
History
Großsolt was first mentioned in 1352. The name originated from the original name of today's Bondenau and Ablautform of " salt" ( = salt). Solt also means " marshy land".
Until the 20th century it was fishing in Großsolt. The originally more than one hundred hectares Treßsee was drained by the River regulation of Kiel storage and Bondenau 1925 and the land consolidation in the 1960s and 1970s. The salmon died out and the fishing rights, once a guarantee of prosperity, were meaningless.
The peasant embossing has been preserved in the townscape with more than twenty companies. Especially impressive agricultural property with large trees and avenues are to be found in particular in Estrup and Kollerup.
On many farms " Farmhouse " is offered or they present themselves as a riding school.

The first school building was built in Großsolt 1757 and used until about 1790. Over the centuries, the school Großsolt has changed its location several times. Since 1971 it is located near the church.
The primary school Großsolt is attended by children and young people from the communities Großsolt and free Will, the main school was part of 2011.
Leisure and sports facilities
The nearby Holmark Lake provides swimming pool in summer under the supervision of DLRG a popular meeting place dar. sports field, gymnasium and tennis courts for recreational activities available. The lively club life with sports club, country women, men's choir, volunteer fire departments, West Anglers Riding Club and local culture shapes the ring together in place.

Structures
The Großsolter church was founded in 1970 by cross restored. It is a Romanesque stone building from the late 12th century with recessed choir. The north and south portal is built with granite blocks. Through the hall of the church tower built in 1920 leads to the church. At the cemetery, there are still some grave stones from the 17th and 18th centuries.
