Oberreidenbach
Oberreidenbach is a municipality in the district of Birkenfeld, in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Herrnstein.
Geography
Oberreidenbach is located on the main road 270, in a tributary of the upper Nahe, Pfalz and between Hunsrück. Right on the edge of one of the largest military training areas in Germany, the Baumholder military training area which is mostly used by the Bundeswehr and the U.S. Army for decades.
The municipality has a district area of 1,093 ha, of which 277 ha are forested and 412 ha are occupied by the military training area. Neighboring municipalities are Mittelreidenbach, Schmidthachenbach and Sienhachenbach. The next largest cities are Idar -Oberstein, Bad Kreuznach and Kaiserslautern.

Parish council
The local council in Oberreidenbach consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
Culture and sights
The place has a club hall with stage, serving and Outbuildings, a shelter on Brockel mountain with barbecue facilities and a lookout point at about 510 m above sea level. NN. Numerous hiking trails invite you to relax.
The Evangelical Church, built according to plans by August Senz is from 1903, the Catholic church probably dates from the mid-13th century and is a listed building since 1927.

Economy and infrastructure
Oberreidenbach has an active club life: football, table tennis, aerobics, volunteer fire departments, rural women, Beautification Association and the Musikverein are just a few examples. Two small grocery stores, a bakery and a commercial area with companies in the field of mechanical engineering, gardening, swimming pool construction and motor trade round off the village. There is a main hobby farmer and three part-time farmers.
The primary school Reidenbachtal and the children's playground and the sports field and the small playing field with plastic covering attract young families in the development area "On the Rain."
