Oberbrombach

Oberbrombach is a municipality in the district of Birkenfeld, in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Birkenfeld.

History

Oberbrombach was first mentioned in 1324.

1817 came Oberbrombach as part of the Principality of Birkenfeld to the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg. After the First World War, first lapidaries came to the place whose economic boom was already in the 1960s, again over. In 1937 Oberbrombach the Prussian district of Birkenfeld. After the Second World War, the village belonged to the French occupation zone and since 1946 the state of Rhineland -Palatinate. Since 1973 Oberbrombach belongs to the municipality of Birkenfeld.
