Ellweiler

Ellweiler is a municipality in the district of Birkenfeld, in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Birkenfeld.

Geography

The town lies on Traun river in the Black Forest High Forest in the Hunsrück region, close to the Saarland. 67.6 percent of the district area is forested. To the north is Dambach, in the east and in the south Neubrücke Nohfelden.

History
