Schauren

Schauren is a municipality in the district of Birkenfeld, in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Rhaunen.

Geography

Schauren is located on Idarwald in the Hunsrück. 64.4 percent of the district area is forested. To the east are the places Hellertshausen and Asbach, south lie Kempfeld and Bruchweiler.

To Schauren includes the residential places Aschiedermühle and Schaurenermühle.
