Bollenbach

Bollenbach is a municipality in the district of Birkenfeld, in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Rhaunen.

Geography

Bollenbach is located in the east of the Hunsrück Idarwalds. To the north is Rhaunen, in the east and southwest lies Bundenbach Sulzbach.

History

Until the local Rhineland-Palatinate administrative reform of 1969, the Hunsrückort belonged to the district of Bernkastel.

Culture and sights

The 500 year old oak thickness is protected as a natural monument. The village church dates from the year 1719. In a half-timbered house from 1926 one of the first electric grain mills was established in the Hunsrück.
