Rinzenberg

Rinzenberg is a municipality in the district of Birkenfeld, in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Birkenfeld.

Geography

Rinzenberg is on the edge of the Black Forest High Forest. 76.5 percent of the district area is forested. In the northeast is Oberhambach, in the east and south lie Goll mountain Ellenberg and Buhlenberg.

History

The town was first mentioned as a mountain crevice in records in 1269. He belonged to the late 18th century to the Rear County of Sponheim.
