Wanderup
Wanderup (Danish: Vanderup ) is a municipality in the district of Schleswig -Flensburg, in Schleswig- Holstein. Birkwang ( Birkvang ) Friesik, Grünberg ( Grønbjerg ), basement Holm, Kieracker ( Kærager ) Kragstedt ( Kragsted ) Osterkjer ( Østerkær ) and Westerkjer ( Vesterkær ) are located in the municipal area.
Geography
The community lies as a street village on the national highway 200 in the Schleswig 's Geest. Far from the village there is the dune at the Rimmel Mountain, a nature reserve, which belongs to the Natura 2000.
History
Wanderup was first mentioned in the 14th century as Wompsdorf. The Romanesque stone church was built around 1180 werden.
Policy
Of the 13 seats in the municipal council, the CDU has been the local elections in 2013 five seats, the SSE has four, voters Community DGW three and the SPD one seat

Blazon: " Shared by gold and green. Up a standing Holstein cow, down a golden chain of eight limbs. "
The eight chain links in the coat of arms stand for the eight districts Birkwang, Friesik, Green Mountain, Keller Holm, Kieracker, Kragstedt, Osterkjer and Westerkjer.
Economy
The community is predominantly agricultural, with the active farms but not in the village, but in the peripheral areas.
Village Museum
In the old school building, a village museum has been established, showing how was lived in the past two centuries in the Geest and how the community has developed.
