Hagécourt

Hagécourt is a commune with 114 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Vosges in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Epinal, to Canton Dompaire and in 2000 founded Local Government Association ( Communauté de communes ) du Secteur de Dompaire.

Geography

The community Hagécourt lies about halfway between Epinal and Vittel in the south of Lorraine. The small town of Mirecourt is located 13 kilometers from Hagécourt.

The municipality is situated on the right bank of the Moselle Creek Madon. In the Madon lead to height Hagécourt the Ruissaeu de la Grâce and the L' Imbarupt Ruisseau. To the west and east of the Madontales the terrain gradually rises and reaches heights of over 330 meters. In the east and the west with the municipality has approximately 220 ha shares in two major forest areas ( Bois Brûlé, Le Metel, Bois du Bois Banal and Rayeux ). The largest part of the community area consists of agricultural land, which reach to the shores of Madon. The built-up area is closed and limited to a running saxon settlement in north-south direction.

Neighboring communities of Hagécourt are Maroncourt in the north, Dompaire in the east, Begnécourt in the south, Bainville -aux -Saules and Rancourt in the southwest and Valleroy -aux -Saules in the West.

History

In the 10th century immersed in a document for the first time on the place name Hagericurte. The territory of the municipality belonged in the Middle Ages the Duchy of Lorraine, and at the same time the chapter Remiremont. Together with the villages Velotte. Madecourt. Valleroy. Passing through the municipality, the Department of Road 4 of Mirecourt after Bains- les- Bains. Four kilometers south of Hagécourt runs the partially -developed two-lane expressway (D 166) from Epinal to Vittel / Contrexévillenear. The five- kilometers from Hagécourt breakpoint Hymont - Mattaincourt is on the railway line from Nancy on Mirecourt and Vittel to Merrey, which is operated by the TER Lorraine.
