  • September 26: The premiere of the opera Mona Lisa by Max von Schillings, to a libretto by Beatrice Dovsky takes place at the new Court Opera in Stuttgart and is the biggest success of the composer.
  • October 2: In Berlin, the operetta The artificial man of Leo Fall premiered.
  • October 8: The premiere of the opera Isabella of Ludolf Nielsen takes place at the Royal Opera in Copenhagen.
  • October 28: The first performance of the February 8, finished symphonic poem An Alpine Symphony by Richard Strauss takes place under the guidance of the composer in Berlin with the Dresden court orchestra.
