Rules changes

With the beginning of the season were several rules changes in effect. Some of these rules have already been tested at the Summer Grand Prix in 2004 for their practicality. So the hill size was introduced as a comparison value for the size of the jumps. It indicates in how many meters the landing of a ramp still has an inclination of 32 degrees and thus a safe landing is still guaranteed. This is to better assess the actual size of a hill. For the calculation of the distance of points of the K - point is still relevant.

Since this season Springer, undercutting a BMI value of 20, including shoes and jumping suit must jump with shorter skis. Furthermore, the maximum neck width of the jump suits was reduced to 50 cm. A view to creating a supporting air cushion in the suit be prevented.

In ski flying competitions there are future to only one qualifying session for a whole, usually consisting of two competitions, weekend and there are future after qualification, 40 and not as previously, only 30 jumpers in the first half.
