2013–14 Austrian Football Bundesliga
The Austrian football championship will be 2013/14 held for 102 times. The highest league is the Austrian Bundesliga, which is carried out in this season for the 40th time and contested by ten teams. Licensing
On April 30, 2013, the licenses were awarded for the Championship 2013/14 of the Bundesliga. Only 18 of the 24 clubs that had applied for a license, it was also granted. The Bundesliga club Admira Wacker Mödling and Wacker Innsbruck, Vienna and the first division Hartberg and the regional division LASK Linz and Salzburg Austria was denied the license. Erstligist SKN St. Pölten was licensed under financial constraints. All six clubs, where the license in the first instance had been denied, filed a complaint with the Protest Committee of the Bundesliga. The Vienna are also deducted for a breach of the license terms and conditions for the 2013/14 season five points. Also the LASK which was relegated in the previous year due to the non license issued to the Regionalliga, the license was given in the second instance. About possible financial obligations of a rise of Linz is decided in the case. The Salzburg Austria was denied a license in the second instance.

Consequently, only a starting place for the Champions League and three places in the Europa League will be played on league and cup in the 2013/14 season. Second power stage - First League
The First League is the second highest league in the Austrian professional football and is discharged in the 2013/14 season for the 39th time. New in the league came in the Bundesliga relegation SV Mattersburg and the two relegation winner SC -ESV Parndorf 1919 and FC Liefering. Third power level - regional leagues
Mode
The regional leagues east, west and center form the third power level in Austrian football. The Regional League East is formed by the clubs of Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland Football Association. The Regional center is made up of associations of the Upper Austria, Carinthia and Styria Football Association. The Regional League West form associations of Salzburg, Tyrol and Vorarlberg Football Association.
