Flag of Colorado

The flag of the U.S. state of Colorado was designed by Andrew Carlisle Johnson and adopted by a decision of the General Assembly of Colorado in 1911. The size of the "C", however, was not initially set. This did not happen until 1964.

The flag is blue, white, blue horizontally striped in the colors and results in a golden leech of a red letter C to seven-eighths circle included.

The red C on the flag stands for the first letter of Colorado. It includes a golden disc and reminds us of the Spanish heritage of the region and the mineral resources of the state.
