Flag of Tennessee

The flag of the U.S. state of Tennessee was adopted on 17 April 1905.

The flag attacks on symbols of the Tennessee National Guard. The three stars represent the three territories of the State of (East Tennessee, Middle Tennessee, and West Tennessee). But remember also that Tennessee was recorded as the third State in the 13 founding states in the United States.

The flag is reminiscent of the so-called " Battle Flag " or the " Southern Cross " of the Confederacy in the American Civil War.
