Flag of Wisconsin

The flag of Wisconsin is a blue flag is placed on the center the seal of Wisconsin.

It was officially created in 1863, because regiments from Wisconsin wanted to have a flag for the battlefield. In 1981, the flag was changed; it was centered above the word " Wisconsin " and " 1848 " is inserted below. 1848 Wisconsin joined the USA as a state.

In the middle stands below the lettering Wisconsin and about the year 1848, the national coat of arms from 1851, which shows a plate holder a sailor and a miner as symbols of work on land and at sea.
