Flag of Oregon

The flag of the U.S. state of Oregon was introduced in 1925.

The flag of Oregon is the only flag of the U.S. state with two different sides. On the front is the seal of Oregon, together with the word "State of Oregon ". Oregon was admitted in 1859 as the 33rd state in the United States. According to the front of the flag is complemented by the year of 1859 as well as 33 small stars.

On the back of the flag - also entirely in gold on blue - a beaver shown, a reference to the nickname of Oregon as "The Beaver State " ("The Beaver State"). This is an allusion to the traditionally dominant forestry in the state.

The seal shows a bald eagle over a coat of arms, which is full of symbols, including are shown on the sun with rays, a ship and a covered wagon.
