Flag of Kansas

The flag of the U.S. state of Kansas was officially adopted in 1927.

Official Description

" The Kansas flag Consists of a dark blue field with the state seal in the center. A sunflower on a bar of gold twisted lies above the seal, and below the seal is the word ' Kansas '. "

The flag of Kansas consists of a dark blue field in the center of which is the seal of Kansas. A sunflower sitting about on a gold twisted band. At the top of the seal is the Latin motto of the state: Ad Astra per Aspera ( " On rough paths to the stars" ).

History

The flag was designed in 1925. It was adopted officially by the legislation of Kansas in 1927 and 1961 modified, whereby einfügte the word "Kansas" in gold block letters under the seal.

In 2001, a internet poll of North American Vexillological Association ( the North American customer Flag Association ) this flag was chosen among the ten worst flags of U.S. states and Canadian provinces to fourth from last.
