Hürup

Hürup was first mentioned in 1352 as Hudderup. A native of the Danish language place name probably meant high-lying village or village in the hills grave. Hy is Angel Danish (or Synnejysk ) høj for Danish kingdom.

Of the eleven seats in the municipal council has the voter community KWG since the local elections in 2013 five seats, the CDU, the SPD and the Wählergemeinschaft GL have two seats each.
