Lee Terry

Lee Raymond Terry ( born January 29, 1962 in Omaha, Nebraska ) is an American politician ( Republican). Since 1999, he represents the second electoral district of the state of Nebraska in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Lee Terry attended Northwest High School in Omaha and then studied until 1984 at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. After a subsequent law degree from Creighton Law School in Omaha 1987 he was admitted to the bar. Then he began to work in his new profession, where he specialized in civil law. Between 1991 and 1998, Terry was a member of the City Council of Omaha. There he spent two years as Chairman of the Board. In the congressional elections of 1998, he was elected in the second district of Nebraska in the U.S. House of Representatives.

After he was confirmed in the following years, each in his office, he could remain to this day in Congress. He is a member of the Energy and Commerce Committee. His current term of office runs until 3 January 2011. Terry is committed to a ban on internet gambling and encourages research into alternative energy sources. With its Fray Robyn privately he lives in Omaha.
