Rosenkopf

Rose head is a municipality in the southwest, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Zweibrücken -Land.

Geography

Rose head is in the west of the county, near the border with Saarland. West is Bechhofen, in the north Lambsborn, in the southeast and southwest Wiesbach Käshofen.

History

Rose head came in 1589 by way of exchange of the Sickinger rule Landstuhl of Palatinate -Zweibrücken. By the end of the 18th century the village belonged to Zweibrücken Oberamt Homburg.

The local council in Rose head consists of eight council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Coat of arms

The blazon of the arms is: " In black on green Dreienberg a silver pole, topped with three red roses with golden slugs and green sepals, beseitet right of a golden, rotbezungten and reinforced left -turned lions left five silver Bollen 2:1: 2 ".

It was awarded in 1982 by the District Government of Rheinhessen-Pfalz.

Economy and infrastructure

Rose head is in the transport association Rhein- Neckar. Line 232 of the bus company regional bus Saar- Westpfalz connects Rosenkopf weekdays to the next station, Bruchmühlbach -Miesau on the railway line Mannheim- Saarbrücken, as well as with the main station two bridges on the railway line Pirmasens -Saarbrücken and the main railway Homburg ( Saar) in Saarland.
