1950–51 IHL season
The season 1950/51 was the sixth regular season of the International Hockey League. During the regular season, six teams 52-56 games contested. In the play-offs, the Toledo Mercurys prevailed and won the second Turner Cup in their history.

Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Windsor Ryancretes stopped the game operation.
- The Grand Rapids Rockets from the Eastern Amateur Hockey League were included as an expansion team in the league.
- The Toledo Mercurys returned after a year in the Eastern Amateur Hockey League back in the IHL.
