2009 Valencia Open 500

The Valencia Open 500 2009 had a tennis tournament, which took place in Valencia from 31 October to 8 November 2009. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2009 and was held in the indoor hard courts. In the same week the Davidoff Swiss Indoors Basel played in Basel, which was one exactly like the Valencia Open to Category ATP World Tour 500.

Defender of the single was David Ferrer, who, however, did not compete due to injury to the knockout round match against Albert Montanes. The tournament was the top seed Andy Murray to decide for themselves which the Russians Mikhail Youzhny defeated in the final. This was his sixth season title, which he set a new personal record with the number of titles won in one year. In doubles, won last year Máximo González and Juan Mónaco the title, but they were not together to defend their title. This year's competition won the double set at number three Frantisek Cermak and Michal Mertiňák that prevailed in the final against Marcel Granollers and Tommy Robredo.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs.
