2009 MercedesCup

The Mercedes Cup 2009 was a tennis tournament that to 19 July 2009 took place from 13 in Stuttgart. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2009 and was discharged on clay court. In the same week Bastad Catella Swedish Open were played in that counted just like the MercedesCup to Category ATP World Tour 250.

Defender of the individual was Juan Martín del Potro, who no longer took part in this year's tournament. Jérémy Chardy was winner, who won his first tournament of his career. In the final he won against Victor Hanescu in three sets mi 1:6, 6:3 and 6:4. In doubles Christopher Kas and Philipp Kohlschreiber were the defending champions, but they were no longer together in this year. While Kohlschreiber did not participate, Kas retired with his partner from as early as the first round. This year's winners were Frantisek Cermak and Michal Mertiňák, who defeated the Romanian Victor Hanescu and Horia Tecau double. For Cermak it was the second doubles title in Stuttgart, after he along with Leoš Friedl already won in 2007.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs.
