2012 International German Open
Bet- at-home Open German Tennis Championships 2012 were a tennis tournament which took place in Hamburg from 16 to 22 July 2012. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2012 and was discharged on clay court. In the same week the BB & T Atlanta Open in Gstaad and the Crédit Agricole Suisse were Open Gstaad played in Atlanta. These included, in contrast to the bet-at -home Open German Tennis Championships, which belonged to Category ATP World Tour 500, only to Category ATP World Tour 250
Defender of the single was Nicolás Almagro, who retired in the quarterfinals. In this year's final, the Argentine Juan Mónaco won against Tommy Haas, who was in his second season finale; for Mónaco it was the second title in the 2012 season. Haas was the first German in a final of the ATP World Tour 500 since 2008 and the first German in the final of the tournament since Michael Stich in 1993. In double Oliver Marach and Alexander Peya were the defending champions, however, occurred only Peya with other partners. In the final, David Marrero and Fernando Verdasco defeated the Spanish -Brazilian pairing Daniel Munoz de la Nava and Rogério Dutra da Silva; this is the fourth season title already the two Spaniards. For Muñoz de La Nava and Dutra da Silva, who both came into the field due to a cancellation of another double pair until it was in each case the first finals in a tournament of the World Tour.
