2012 St. Petersburg Open
The St. Petersburg Open 2012 was a tennis tournament, which was held in St. Petersburg from 17 to 23 September 2012. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2012 and was held in the indoor hard courts. In the same week the Moselle Open in Metz were played that counted just like the St. Petersburg Open to Category ATP World Tour 250.
Defender of the single was Marin Cilic, who did not participate in this year's tournament. In the final, won Martin Klizan who stood in a final for the first time on the ATP World Tour, Fabio Fognini over who could not win the title in his second ATP final. In doubles, Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins were the defending champions. They were placed as number two, but in the quarter- finals against the Slovaks Martin Klizan and Filip Polášek. In the final, the top seeded duo Rajeev Ram and Nenad Zimonjic won against Lukáš Lacko and Igor Zelenay. This was their first joint title and by these third tournament victory in St. Petersburg was Zimonjić sole record winners of the doubles competition of the tournament.
The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs.
