Geography
Asbach is located at the back of Bach in the transition region of the Kempf Elder high trough for Idar- Soon- gate east of Idarwald. The place has an altitude of 460-480 m above sea level. NN. In the agricultural use outweighed the nutrient-poor soils previously rye, oats, barley and root crops. The valleys with predominantly gleyed and podsolic soils used as grassland. History

The place was dominated entirely agricultural until the 1970s.
