Dave Keon
David Michael " Dave" Keon ( born March 22, 1940 in Noranda, Quebec ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who and from 1960 to 1982 for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Hartford Whalers in the National Hockey League and the Minnesota Fighting Saints, Indianapolis Racers New England Whalers played in the World Hockey Association.
Career
Dave Kean was one of the best defensive forward in the NHL. In almost every game he was set on the opponent's top center, making this a hard time, but he still brought it to 396 gates. He was extremely fair. With 117 penalty minutes, he had only an average of every 22 game on the penalty bench. For this, he was also honored twice with the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy. 1962, 1963, 1964 and 1967, he won with the Maple Leafs the Stanley Cup. In 1975 he moved to the WHA and landed there on his third station at the New England Whalers. Once these have been included as a Hartford Whalers in the NHL, he made his comeback in the NHL. At 42, he finished his playing career in 1982.
In 1986, he was honored with induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
