Donald Dean Summerville

Donald Dean Summerville ( born 1915 in Toronto, Ontario, † November 19, 1963 ) was a local politician and 53rd Mayor of Toronto.

Summerville was a son of William A. Summerville, a former city councilor of Toronto and a member of the legislative branch of the provincial government of Ontario. He served during World War II as a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force. In 1955 he was elected to the City Council and remained so until 1958. From 1959 to 1961 he was a member of the Audit. In 1962 he became mayor. He died a year later, when he suffered a heart attack at a charity hockey match.
