Lordi

Lordi is a Finnish Founded in 1992, hard rock band. She is known for her unusual stage costumes depicting zombies and monsters.

Their music is reminiscent of a mix of traditional hard rock bands such as Kiss, Twisted Sister, Accept, Zodiac Mindwarp, WASP or Alice Cooper mixed with modern elements like electronic sounds.

Current members

Mr. Lordi ( Tomi Putaansuu ) (* February 15, 1974 in Rovaniemi ) is the lead singer and founder of the eponymous band. At eight, he learned keyboard, guitar, bass and drums. He was fascinated by the music of the band Kiss. Later he became president of her fan club Finnish KISS Army. He is a supporter of hard -rock of the 1980s, which explains the music style of his band. Former members

Magnum ( Sami wolking ) ( born November 8, 1973 in Helsinki ) was the bassist for Lordi in the years 1998 to 2002. He was replaced by Kalma. His costume was reminiscent of a giant robot.

In 1998, she was on tour with Children of Bodom. From 1998 to 2001 she played in the Finnish metal band Grain, but broke up in 2001. G- Stealer ( Sami Keinänen ) (* 1973 in Rovaniemi ) was until 1998 the bass player Lordi. He left the band because he emigrated for work reasons from Finland to England.

Kita ( Sampsa Astala ) ( born January 23, 1974 in Vantaa ) was the drummer of the band and introduced an alien monster dar. Band History

1992-2000

The band was formed in 1992 by Mr. Lordi to life and named after his nickname. For four years, Lordi was operated as a solo project, only to Amen and shortly after G- Stealer duzustießen.

2000-2006

After almost ten years as a band, however, Lordi received a recording contract with BMG Finland.
