Nerzweiler

Nerzweiler is a municipality in the district of Kusel, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Lauter corners.

Geography

Nerzweiler located in Eßweiler valley in the North Palatine Uplands. In the north, Offenbach- dog home is located in the east and south is Aschbach Hinzweiler.

History

The place was first mentioned in documents as Nertzwilre in 1350. The Eßweiler valley belonged to Electoral Palatinate was but assigned as a fief to the counts of Veldenz. In Nerzweiler was the seat of Nerzweiler Office, which included the cities of the valley. 1444 came to Nerzweiler Palatinate -Zweibrücken, 1755 at the Rhinegraves.
