San Nicola la Strada
San Nicola la Strada is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 21 372 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Caserta in Campania. The place is located about two kilometers south of Caserta, about 25 kilometers northeast of Naples.
Name of the place
The town's name derives from a hand of Bishop Nicholas of Myra and leading by the municipality Via Appia Antica ( la strada ). Not far from here you will find the settlement remains of the historical city Calatia.
Traffic
The place is stripped from the Autostrada A1. Through the town itself leads next to the Appian Way, the Strada Statale 87 of Caserta to Naples.
