Sörup

Sörup (Danish: Sørup ) is a municipality in the district of Schleswig -Flensburg, in Schleswig- Holstein. Geography

The Südschleswigscher community Sörup is a rural central place in fishing. It lies in a moraine at Winderatter lake and Südensee.

History

Sörup 1338 was first mentioned as Sodorp, so lakeside village. However, it is much older, mainly the imposing church of the 12th century occupied. The other villages in the church today, the scope of exactly the medieval equivalent (now Lutheran ) parish Sörup, are partly very old.

Sörup belonged to the field of Nieharde and was the westernmost Kirchdorf.
