Tom Tauke

Thomas Joseph "Tom" Tauke ( born October 11, 1950 in Dubuque, Iowa) is an American politician. Between 1979 and 1991 he represented the state of Iowa in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Tom Tauke attended private schools in Dubuque County and until 1968 the Wahlert High School. He then completed until 1972, the Loras College in Dubuque. After a subsequent law studies at the University of Iowa and its made ​​in 1974 admitted to the bar, he began practicing in his new profession. Politically, Tauke joined the Republican Party. Between 1975 and 1978 he sat as an MP in the House of Representatives from Iowa. From 1972 to 1978 he took part in the regional party days of the Republicans. In 1976 he was a delegate to the Republican National Convention in Kansas City, on the U.S. president Gerald Ford was nominated again for that office.
