Beaucourt-sur-l'Ancre

Beaucourt -sur- l'Ancre ( Picard: Bieucourt -su - l'Inke ) is a northern French village with 98 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) by the Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is part of the Canton of Albert and is part of the Communauté de communes du Pays du Coquelicot.

Geography

The community, which borders the Pas- de -Calais, on the right bank of the River Ancre. At the Ancre run along the road department D50 and the railway line Paris -Lille.

History

The church, which was destroyed in the First World War, was awarded the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
