Laviéville

Laviéville ( Picard: Lavièville ) is a northern French village with 160 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is part of the Canton of Albert and is part of the Communauté de communes du Pays du Coquelicot.

Geography

Laviéville located on the heights west of the River Ancre. The department D119 road runs through the town, which extends north to the department D91 road and south to the department of road D929 from Amiens to Bapaume.

History

The municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
