History and toponymy

The place dates back to the 7th century AD. Its name is attributed to the fact that the Scottish missionary Fursy, who died on the way to Peronne, should be buried in the place, stopped at the two bulls ( " Les boeufs "). In World War I he was completely destroyed. The municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
