Altdorf, Rhineland-Palatinate
Altdorf is a municipality in the Southern Wine Route in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Edenkoben.

Geography
The municipality is located 7 km east of Edenkoben between the biosphere reserve Palatinate Forest and the Rhine. At Altdorf includes the living space brick hut.
History
For the first time Altdorf was mentioned in 776 in a document of the Abbey of Lorsch.
Religion
2012 were 53.8 percent of the population Protestant and 26.3 percent Catholic. The other belonged to a different religion or no religious affiliation were.

The blazon of the arms is: " In geviertem sign top right in red a twin-towered brick silver castle with open gate, subject to a right diagonal laying golden Abtstab, about floating a three-pronged golden crown, top left in blue, a silver eagle, bottom right, a silver sign head over blue box, below left in a black gold district mark in the form of the outline of a split half round shield with henkelförmigem paragraph at the top plate edge ".
It was established in 1953 approved by the Mainz Ministry of Interior.

Closest train station is Edenkoben on the Palatine Maximilian Railway Neustadt- Wissembourg.
