Edenkoben

Edenkoben is a town in the district of Southern Wine Route in the south of Rhineland- Palatinate. It is the administrative seat of the homonymous municipality, which it also belongs. Geography

The wine Edenkoben lies on the eastern edge of the Palatinate Forest at the output of Edenkobener Valley. The German Wine Route runs right through the city center. About eight kilometers north of Neustadt on the Wine Route and ten kilometers south of Landau in der Pfalz.

History

Edenkoben was first mentioned in documents as Zotingkowe in the Lorsch codex in the year 769.
