Cheap -Ingenheim is located near the German Wine Road between the towns of Bad Bergzabern and Landau in the Palatinate.

History

Cheap home is one of the oldest settlements on the Palatine, first mentioned in 693 under the name " Bull Inch Home ". Today's local church was (E. 429 ) new formed on 7 June 1969 the formerly independent communities Appenhofen (then 237 inhabitants ) Cheap Home ( 1579 E. ), Inge Heim ( 1436 E. ) and Muhlhofen.

Structures

The Protestant parish church with its 40 m high tower is the landmark of cheap home.

The oldest part of the church is the basement of the church tower. Machining marks and the shape of cuboid remember a time of origin in the 11th century. This coincides with the local tradition, after the Emperor Conrad II, the first church of cheap home have erected. Around 1220, this church was demolished and replaced by a new building. In the early 14th century, around 1325/30 the High Gothic choir of the church was built, about the same time the tower was increased.
