Birkweiler
Birkweiler is a municipality in the Southern Wine Route in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Landau - country, which has its headquarters in the city of Landau in der Pfalz.

Geographical location
The community is a typical wine village on the German Wine Route in Siebeldinger valley at the foot of the high mountain ( 556 m observation tower ).
The municipality consists of the living spaces on Kolgenbach, the forest, and Herrenbergerhof Mandelbergerhof.
History
The place was first mentioned in documents in 1285.
