Siebeldingen

Siebeldingen is a municipality in the Southern Wine Route in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Landau - country, which has its headquarters in the city of Landau in der Pfalz. A landmark in the wine village is the interdenominational church in the town center with its 30-meter high leaning tower.

Geographical location

The community is a wine village in the Palatinate wine region. The municipal area also includes about eight kilometers northwest of the town center located uninhabited exclave Siebeldinger forest, with 357 acres has a larger area than the actual municipality.

History

1219, the village was first mentioned in the city status of Annweiler by the Hohenstaufen Emperor Frederick II

Owned by the Federal Centre for Breeding Research on Cultivated Plants Institute for Grapevine Breeding Geilweilerhof is located in the wine-growing town Siebeldingen. Another well-known companies at the site is the Table Tennis Accessories Company " JOOLA Table Tennis GmbH Co. KG ".

Traffic

Siebeldingen is connected to the railway Landau -Rohrbach, where it has a common stop on the neighboring community Birkweiler.

Also there is the bus Landau - Godramstein - Annweiler - Hauenstein ( SüdwestBus, line 523 ) and a Ruftaxi - line ( 5966 ) outside the schedule times.

South of the village, the B 10 runs, with direct transport links at the western exit at Birkweiler.

The bike German Wine Road and the Queichtalradweg traverse in their route also Siebeldingen.
