Oberotterbach

Oberotterbach is a municipality in the Southern Wine Route in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Bad Bergzabern. Oberotterbach is a nationally recognized tourist.

The wine is between the biosphere reserve Palatinate Forest and the Rhine.

To Oberotterbach includes the residential places Brendel mill and Heidenbrunnenhof.

History

992 was the place in a deed of Emperor Otto III. mentioned at the monastery Selz in Alsace for the first time.

Religion

In 2007, 55.6 percent of the population Protestant and 25.4 percent Catholic. The other belonged to a different religion or no religious affiliation were.

Oberotterbach is characterized mainly by football. The sports club Oberotterbach 1950 eV is a men's team, old boys club, A Youth, D- youth, as well as an F- youth team. Other sporting activities in Oberotterbach include table tennis, tennis, aerobics, gymnastics and sports model.
