Weyher in der Pfalz
Weyher in the Palatinate is a municipality in the Southern Wine Route in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Edenkoben. Weyher in the Palatinate is a nationally recognized tourist.
Geography
The wine-growing village located 4 km southwest of Edenkoben between the biosphere reserve Palatinate Forest and the Rhine. The 618 m high mountain is the mountain leaves from Weyher.
The municipality also includes the living space Buschmühlenteich.
History
The name of the 777 ( Wilere ) first mentioned the place is derived from the Old High German villare ( hamlet ). The dialect assimilated Wilre to we. In the New High German diphthongization it was Weyher. The place belonged to the late 18th century to the Bishopric of Speyer.
