Hergersweiler
Hergersweiler is a municipality in the Southern Wine Route in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Bad Bergzabern.

Geographical location
The wine is a linear village and is situated between the Palatinate Forest Biosphere Reserve and the Rhine.
History
The place was first mentioned in 1301 in a document of the monastery Eußerthal. From 1410 to 1797 belonged to Hergersweiler Palatinate -Zweibrücken.
Religion
In 2007, 51.8 percent of the population Protestant and 23.9 percent Catholic. The other belonged to a different religion or no religious affiliation were.

The local council in Hergersweiler consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 a proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman. The six seats in the City Council are distributed among three groups of voters.
Coat of arms
The blazon of the arms is: " Divided by an oblique left wave line up in a black goldbestielte golden grape, riveted bottom of silver and blue, covered with a raised green tobacco leaf ."
It was approved in 1982 by the district government Neustadt. The Wittelsbach diamond shapes are reminiscent of the former belonging to the Palatinate -Zweibrücken and the grape and the tobacco leaf symbolize the location formative industries.

Hergersweiler is located on the B 427 Nearest railway stations are Barbelroth and winches. Hergersweiler itself is connected via the bus line 547, which connects the stations Kandel and Bad Bergzabern each other to the public transport network.
