Föckelberg

Föckelberg is a municipality in the district of Kusel, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Altenglan.

Geography

Föckelberg is located in the western Palatinate about 380-465 m above sea level. NN. However belong to the summit of the 562 meter high Potzbergs with the 35 meter high Potzbergturm and part of the game park Potzberg, the other part belongs to Neunkirchen am Potzberg to also Föckelberg. To the east are low Taufenbach and Oberstaufenbach, south, Neunkirchen am Potzberg.

The local council in Föckelberg consists of eight council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

In the arms of the Potzbergturm is shown in front. The lion is from the coat of arms of the former local dominant Palatinate.

Economy and infrastructure

In the resort, the county roads 34 ( Main Street) and 35 intersect ( road to Potzberggipfel ). In the southwest is the federal highway 62 in Altenglan is a station of the railway line Landstuhl - Kusel.
