Ingolstädter Jazztage

The Ingolstadt Jazz Days will since 1984 every year in November in the Upper Bavarian town of Ingolstadt instead. The organizer is the cultural office of the city of Ingolstadt.

Philosophy and program design

The philosophy of the festival is based on open-minded, experimental and high-quality jazz events - as in Montreux or in The Hague (North Sea Jazz Festival). In addition to world stars of jazz, funk, soul, hip -hop and world music provide the organizers with every performance also newcomers and promising young artists a forum. Since 1994, the Cultural Department of the City of Ingolstadt awarded with the support of the Media Saturn Jazz Prize of the city of Ingolstadt to young musicians. With program points such as "Jazz for schools " and " Jazz for Kids", the initiators want to inspire young audiences for the genre.

Venues

The concerts of the Ingolstadt Jazz Days will be held at various locations in Ingolstadt. In addition to performances on a large scale ( Banquet Hall Theater Ingolstadt ) find many concerts in an intimate setting and find some in the old theater, the community center / diagonal, the Church of St. Augustine, the café High School, the ballroom Ingolstadt and other places instead.
