Uphusum

Uphusum (Danish Ophusum ) is a municipality in the district of North Friesland Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

The community is located near the Danish border near the federal road 5, the Green coast road on the border between Geest and Marsh.

Since May 2007 Uphusum again has a break point on the railway line Niebüll - Tønder. There was earlier a railway station in the town, but this was closed by the German Federal Railroad.

Policy

In the local elections on May 26, 2013, the voters Community (UWG ) received all nine seats. The turnout was 45.9 percent.
