Böhnhusen

Böhnhusen is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg -Eckernförde in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Böhnhusen is a street village about 15 km south of Kiel between the Federal Highway 215 to Neumünster and the federal highway 404 south passes further into the federal highway 21 to Lübeck.

The place is located in the Church and in the Moor Techelsdorfer Moor, however, are largely drained. Through the town flows the Spöck.

Policy

Of the nine seats in the municipal council has the voter community AAWB since the local elections 2008 six seats and voters Community AWB three.

Economy

The municipal area is predominantly agricultural. In the village there are several dairy farms, horse stables and a veterinary practice for farm animals and horses.

On the outskirts there is a recycling center with composting plant.
