Hohn, Schleswig-Holstein

Hohn is a town and administrative center in the rural district of Rendsburg -Eckernförde in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Hohn lies between the rivers Eider and worry about 10 kilometers west of Rendsburg on the main road 202 in the direction eiderstedt on Hohner lake. The highest point in the district is the easternmost Eichberg 26 m above sea level. NHN.

History

The area has been inhabited since the Stone Age. The name Hohn was first mentioned in the 13th century and probably means height.

The local St. Mary's Church was moved in 1694 from Rendsburg ( first documented mention there in 1330 ) to scorn.

Policy

Of the 13 seats in the municipal council has since the local elections of 2013, the CDU seven seats, the voter community KWG four seats and the SPD two seats.

Economy
