Coat of arms of Madeira

The coat of arms of the autonomous region of Madeira shows a blue shield a golden pole with a white common grass occupied red paws Cross ( Cross of the Order of Christ ).

Supporters are two seals. About the arms blue - golden helmet covers and so colored with a golden armillary sphere Crest.

Symbolism

The blue color represents the island of Madeira, the yellow or golden color for the mild climate and the areas of the island, which it owes its wealth.
